Homerton belongs to the eastern part of London. It is located near the borough of Hackney and not too far from Lower Clapton, central Hackney and Leighton. The neighbourhood is home to a very diverse contingent.

Every street is fully populated, with many houses being built in a Victorian style. There used to be many factories in the area however, in 1937 the construction of mass housing began, along with the elimination of old style buildings, to replace them with modern buildings for factories and commercial use. These areas were previously known as slums.   A number of historical sights have been preserved in the area. The oldest one being a building dating back to 1535  which is now protected by the National Trust. Homerton  is a suburb of bright prospects.

There is a growing demand for housing in the area. In 2012 the London Olympics were held not too far from there and since then,  real estate prices have increased quite significantly .  There are an abundance of creative centres, trendy young cafes, pastry shops, and  even an organic food store, for gourmets. There is also a Swedish eatery.

 Many of the pubs play live music on Sundays - a day which is traditionally considered a day out in the area. On these days, bars and restaurants will open their doors and are ready to work deep into the night.

The neighbourhood infrastructure meets the highest standards of living. There are plenty of opportunities to play football, hockey, or rugby. The student union building attracts students from all over the city. There is also a community of music lovers, theatre groups and many different sports clubs. Homerton has a large number of green parks where you can enjoy a walk at any time of the day or year.
